If you run a crew, you already know the two questions that matter before anyone unpacks a duffel bag: will it come in under per diem, and will my people have to bunk with strangers? At The Grayson, the answers are yes and no. Lodging comes in under the GSA per diem, and every crew member has their own room. No strangers, no doubling up, no one sleeping on a pullout.
We take work crews on job sites anywhere within a 30-mile radius of our home base, serving Everett, Bothell, Woodinville, Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue, Lake Stevens, Snohomish, Arlington and Greater Seattle. This page is written for the people who make the booking: crew bosses, project managers and travel coordinators.
Under per diem, on purpose
Federal per diem sets a nightly lodging cap and a separate daily amount for meals and incidentals (M&IE). The General Services Administration publishes those rates by area, and they reset every October 1 at the start of the federal fiscal year. Most contractors and agencies build their travel budgets around them.
We built our crew stays to fit inside that number, so your coordinator is not chasing approvals or explaining overages every month. Stays of 30 nights or more are tax-free on lodging, which matters on a long job. And there is no credit check and no deposit to get a crew moved in.
No strangers: every crew member has their own room
A good night's sleep is a safety issue, not a perk. A crew that rests well works safely on a 5 AM call. That is why every person on your crew gets their own room. There is no assigning a lineman to bunk with a guy he met that morning, and no one waiting on someone else's alarm clock.
It also makes life simpler for whoever manages the crew. Nobody has to referee roommates, and nobody calls the office at 10 PM about a snoring bunkmate.
Lodging + M&IE: breakfast, a hot meal and clean laundry
Some crews only need a bed. Others want the meals handled too, so the per diem stretches and nobody is eating gas-station dinners for six weeks. Our Lodging + M&IE option adds:
- Breakfast from 5 AM, so early shifts start fed.
- A hot meal after the shift, ready when the crew gets back.
- Laundry, so work clothes are clean without a trip to the laundromat on a day off.
Work trucks and Sprinter vans park safely overnight
Your tools are your livelihood. Work trucks and Sprinter vans park safely overnight on the property, so the crew is not unloading every gang box at the end of a long shift or worrying about what is still in the bed in the morning.
Built for 30 to 120 day projects, with one invoice
Most of the crews we host are here for a project, not a weekend. We set up stays of 30 to 120 days and bill the company directly. You get one invoice to the company for the whole crew, not a stack of individual receipts to reconcile and reimburse. Crew members do not have to put lodging on their own cards.
