If you are hauling in for a show, two questions come before anything else: where does the rig go, and will I get fed before the first class? At The Grayson, the truck and trailer pull onto our circular drive, and the Early Riser breakfast starts at 5 AM. Evergreen Equestrian Park, at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds, is 3.6 miles from our door, so you are at the rail early and back in a quiet suite by evening.
We are a family-owned bed and breakfast in the Cascade foothills on Highway 2, in an equestrian neighborhood up the hill and off the highway. This page is written for the people who make the booking: riders and their families, trainers bringing a barn, grooms, horse buyers, and the show and camp organizers who recommend lodging to their exhibitors.
Lodging for people. Your horse stays at the show grounds.
The Grayson is lodging for riders, trainers, grooms, families and buyers. We do not board, stable or turn out horses. Your horse stays in its stall at the show grounds, and you sleep here, 3.6 miles from the barn. Please book your stabling with the show as usual.

Room for the truck and trailer

- Truck and trailer parking on the circular drive, plus ADA parking beside the wheelchair ramp.
- Ten dedicated off-street parking spots plus two sized for larger vehicles.
- Unload at the front porch, then park in the lot to the east by the flagpole.
Vehicle parking is at the owner's risk, so lock doors and keep valuables out of sight.
Fed before the first class
Show mornings start with fresh-brewed coffee already waiting and the warmth of the kitchen before the sun is up. Later, breakfast at The Grayson is our Harvest Hearth table: made to order, from the garden when the season allows.
- The Early Riser breakfast is ready from 5 AM on show days, for $15*.
- Breakfast is always included with a B&B stay, made to order and served 9 to 11 AM. The menu is curated with care: locally grown, organic, nutrient-dense ingredients.
- The Athletic To-Go Performance Box, $20*, is built for long days at the arena.
- A 24-hour coffee and tea bar, for the 4 AM braiding shift and the late night after the last class.
*Prices subject to change.
After the arena
After a long day in the saddle, come home to a hot shower, the outdoor sauna to loosen tired muscles, a jetted tub with bath salts, and a very comfortable bed with soft, medium and firm pillows to choose from. You sleep deeply, and wake up well rested and ready to go.
- On-site laundry with detergent for barn clothes, so the show shirt and breeches are clean for tomorrow.
- A clothes steamer, an iron and an ironing board at the Prep Station, plus lint rollers and a sewing kit for a loose button.
- A quiet sleep wing. The suites sit in the West Side Quiet Zone, away from the kitchen and laundry, so you get a quiet night before the next ride.
- The fire pit in the evening, in the gardens, for the retelling of every round.
Rest well. Ride well.
The dog comes to the show too
- Pets welcome. A $75* pet fee per suite applies to any stay under 30 nights; on stays of 30 nights or more the Pet Fee is $150* a month per suite.
- Pet Concierge while you are at the barn, $21* a day, optional and billed separately.
- A fully fenced, off-leash area, with bowls and a dog bed to borrow if you forgot them. The Olympic suite opens straight onto it.
- Dog show exhibitors: show dogs stay in the room, with space for a crate and grooming table.
*Prices subject to change.
Keep the barn together
Riders, trainers, grooms and families stay with us for camp weeks, training days, show days and horse-buying trips. Barn friends stay side by side in a block of suites, instead of scattering across highway motels.

- Blocks start at three days and two nights and scale up to every available room. One-night group stays are welcome, without block perks.
- Midweek saves more. Monday through Thursday saves more than 10% off weekend rates, which suits camp weeks and training days.
- Room for families. Every suite has a queen. The Cedar adds two twins and the Baker a futon. Mini cribs and pack-n-plays are free.
- ADA suites. The Olympic, Cascade and Pike are on the zero-stairs ground floor, with ADA restrooms and a ramp to the entrance.
- Simple payments. Pay in full at booking, or split it in two, with the balance due 90 days before arrival and a one-time convenience fee for splitting.
Perks grow with the block
- Reserve 3 suites: a welcome Orchard Charcuterie board and Estate-Infused Botanical Water on arrival.
- Reserve 4 suites: all of that, plus brunch is on us: the Hearth & Honey Long Table Brunch.
- Reserve 5 suites: all of that, plus a 1:00 PM late check-out and The Oasis Fireside Experience.
- Private buyout: every available room, hosted, with access to the Chef's Kitchen and a hosted Last Together Supper or an alfresco BBQ.
The full kitchen is for Extended Stays guests and buyouts. Every guest has the 24-hour coffee and tea bar, and food delivery is welcome.
If the online calendar shows nothing open for your show dates, please don't read that as a no. Our booking system can only offer a stay it can hold in one room for every night, and we aren't limited that way. Send us your dates.
*Prices subject to change.
For trainers, camps and show organizers
Equestrian camps, trainers and show organizers can send their riders our way with nothing to sign. Trainers are never charged: we quote your riders directly, the same day, and it never becomes a line on your invoice. If you list us for your riders and exhibitors, we will send you the wording and a photo.
Check-in is 4 to 9 PM and check-out is 11 AM. Early check-in from 2 PM is $75*, and earlier or later arrivals can be arranged for a fee.
